The Shire Community Space

What it was
An all-ages DIY community space in Modesto with live music, art shows, workshops, open mics, and community meetings.
What I did
- Started the venue with a co-founder on an $800 budget, in the garage of the house I was renting.
- Helped build the stage, paint the walls, and turn the garage into a community hub.
- Helped coordinate 80+ events in the first year, from live music to activism meetings.
- Organized classes and workshops on ecology, gardening, political awareness, and community organizing.
- Served as Vice President as the organization sought nonprofit status and moved downtown.

At-risk student tracking system
Centennial High School · Gresham, Oregon · 2024–2025
What it was
A system to spot struggling students early across a 108-student caseload.
What I did
I built a spreadsheet tracker from grades, records, and observations, then coordinated targeted support and family outreach.
What happened
By semester’s end, 60% of identified struggling students improved at least one letter grade.
Family and community outreach
I kept in direct contact with more than a dozen families through progress updates, conferences, and follow-up, and connected them with after-school support.

Youth tournament logistics
